Project Manager, Hardware

This position is located in Scottsdale, AZ

This position will be responsible for the initiation, coordination, and completion of projects (and related tasks). The Project Manager will be expected to communicate and report project status to all stakeholders including upper management. Additionally, the Project Manager will work directly with the team, vendors, and customers to make sure that the project is set up for success. A pro-active mindset will be required to make sure issues are addressed early, and in a way to ensure customer satisfaction. Familiarity with Software Development for multiple languages would be very helpful.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and Lead technical discussions.
• Work directly with suppliers and customers on projects.
• Assist PMO Director in company-wide communication.
• Leading multiple projects, and with help from the Program Manager, manage all aspects of scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Communicate.
• Lead training activities related to projects.
• Follow-up as needed with team, customer, and suppliers for key deliverables.

Qualifications

• 4 - 6 years experience managing projects with cross-functional teams.
• Good Organization and administration skills
• Excellent communications skills - Verbal and written
• Must possess the ability to manage a project with little supervision.
• Must be a Self-Starter.
• Experience with MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS Visio, MS Sharepoint and MS Powerpoint.
• Must be a team player
• Must be able to work independently, with limited supervision
• be able to work well with cross-functional teams.
• Must possess excellent meeting management skills.
• Localization experience with Hardware and Software.
• Experience in the Electronics or Software Industry.
• Experience with Agile development.
• PMP Certification.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Working experience with at least one computer programming language (C#, Java, C++, etc..).
• Ability to read / speak more than one language.
• Experience with ISO 9000 or another certification program.
• Education: BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
